Meet Nina Davey
Located in the heart of Catonsville, Maryland
Healing isn't a "one size fits all" process, and neither is the way we navigate the hardest moments of our lives. I'm Nina Davey, and I founded Lifted Willow to provide a space where transformative healing feels both possible and supported.
With over a decade of experience, I specialize in walking alongside individuals moving through the complexities of trauma — both in the past and the present.
My work is deeply rooted in the understanding that our earliest experiences shape how we move through the world today. I specialize in treating childhood trauma, helping both young children and adults process the "then and there" so they can feel more grounded in the "here and now." By addressing these foundational wounds, we create a steadier internal landscape for all of life's future chapters.
In tandem with this work, I am a Certified Perinatal Mental Health professional (PMH-C). I have a particular heart for the perinatal and postnatal journey, supporting parents through the profound transitions of pregnancy, birth trauma, miscarriage, and infant loss. Often, the transition into parenthood can stir up our own childhood histories; I bridge that gap by offering a compassionate, trauma-informed space to navigate postpartum anxiety, mood disorders, and the unique identity shifts that come with starting or growing a family.
Healing is more than just a conversation; it is an active, embodied experience. Through the lens of Art Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, and EMDR, we will work together to reconnect your mind and body, providing your nervous system the tools it needs to feel secure and grounded.

Leadership & Clinical Consultation
Beyond my work with clients, I am deeply committed to elevating the standards of trauma-informed care and mentoring the next generation of therapists. I currently serve on the board of the Postpartum Support International (PSI) Maryland Chapter, where I contribute to community advocacy and the advancement of perinatal resources.
As an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) for LGPCs and Art Therapists, as well as an EMDRIA-Approved EMDR Consultant, I provide expert guidance to clinicians seeking to deepen their technical skills and therapeutic presence. Whether in the therapy space or consultation, my mission is to foster a culture of healing that is as rigorous as it is compassionate.
"My goal is to help you gently step out of survival mode and back into your own life. Together, we'll reconnect your mind and body so you can feel truly at home in yourself — anchored in the present and free from the weight of the past."
— Nina Davey, LCPC
Why I Became a Therapist
At the heart of Lifted Willow is my personal "why": I became a therapist because I believe in the transformative power of human connection. I find immense fulfillment in watching my clients reclaim their strength and confidence.
In a world that often asks us to keep moving, I want to help you slow down and become curious — to listen to your thoughts, your feelings, and the wisdom of your body. I believe that when we make space for that curiosity, true healing begins.
